The training

Take the headset. Make the call.

Take over at a documented moment in an NFL game. Read the score, clock, field position, and timeout inventory. Choose between two or three plans, then see how your call compares, what you gain, what you risk, and what actually happened.

The bank includes 58 historical strategic replays and 5 final-kick execution drills. Random draws vary the decision you face; Practice mode gives you time to think, while Under Pressure starts a 30-second decision timer.

Mike’s background spans NFL Next Gen Stats research and analytics, scouting with the Minnesota Vikings, and recruiting with the Florida Gators.

He created CoachSim to give coaches more opportunities to work through consequential decisions before encountering them on game day.

CoachSim is a training prototype. NFL and team names identify the games being studied; their use does not imply league or club endorsement.

Evaluate the decision before the result.

A made field goal does not prove that kicking was the best choice. A failed fourth-down attempt does not prove that going for it was wrong. Each rep separates the historical outcome from the reasons for choosing a path.

Where fitted estimates are available, the review shows the probabilities and assumptions behind the comparison. Elsewhere, it explains the clock, scoring, and possession tradeoffs without inventing a win-probability advantage.
